Lovely Spring Produce

I am SO excited that its finally spring (despite the spring showers) and I found some wonderful produce to stock my fridge last Saturday at the farmer's market!

Among my purchases, I picked up some of these lovely radishes and purple carrots from City Roots, these awesome purple spring onions and some flowers.

And as a wonderfully decadent breakfast, I feasted on a fresh apple donut. Reminded me of apple picking in September!

Yum! I'm a little stumped on what to make with the purple spring onions, so leave me a comment if you have any ideas! Have a wonderful day!

Rainy Day Style

Its going to be a rainy week here, so this is my style inspiration. Its almost time for April showers, so I guess I should get used to the rain, but I just want the summer!

Finished Tee!

I finally got around to finishing up this idea I had for a shirt that had gotten a small oil stain somehow. I really like how it turned out!

I used a leftover doily from Valentine's Day and used a metallic peacock-like color of this fabric paint  that I ADORE because you iron the back and then you can wash whatever you have painted on!

Here's a close up. What do you think?

Oh, and here are some pictures of spring! Yay!

I saw this new line featured on The Kitchn on Tuesday and FELL IN LOVE with more things that I don't need. But its nice to daydream of new kitchen pretties! At least they're functional!

What I'm Reading Wednesday

One of my goals for the year is to read 1 book each month in addition to my studying (which is getting more and more difficult the closer we're getting to exams!) and I picked up these three titles at our school library. I love the "new books" section because there's always something fresh to look at and I've found quite a few books I've really enjoyed- even non-fiction!

Fireflies, Honey and Silk by Gilbert Waldbaur
Field Days: A Year of Farming, Eating, and Drinking Wine in California by Jonah Raskins
The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry by Kathleen Flinn

Spring Inspiration

I just found Polyvore and am now obsessed! Here's what I created for my ideal spring outfit:

Spring Birds

I really want to work on accessorizing more and I think this inspiration is perfect for me! I really need to work on a style other than jeans and a plain tee, so this is a step forward! And I adore the TOMS. On my wishlist!

Charleston: Inspiration Everywhere

I absolutely love living 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, but I hardly get a chance to just walk around and take pictures. Thankfully, to end my wonderful Spring Break, I spent the whole afternoon on Saturday with my boyfriend and his cousin walking around. Here are some of my favorite pictures!

As you can see, I love the iron work in Charleston. I hope you enjoy these pictures of spring!
