Life as Normal...

Well, it hasn't been very "normal" around my house- in the last 2 months so many things have happened!

graduated college

watched my man graduate from college

got all dolled up to...

marry this man

went on an awesome trip to the mountains

ate awesome pancakes

and then we moved. and moved and moved. out of 3 places and into our one little newlywed apartment. 

Phew. I'm getting tired just thinking about all of the things that we've done. And starting a new job is pretty exhausting too!

we haven't had toooo many "normal" days just yet but I'm looking forward to settling in and having things calm down for just a little while!

I've missed blogging so I'm also looking forward to more posts so thanks for sticking with me! and if you have any marriage/life advice, we'd love to hear it. But I'll tell you, that 50 days into marriage and we're pretty close to being experts ;) just kidding!

Just Because: Figs

I have these beautiful figs that I bought at the farmer's market on a whim and made them into fig and apple tartlets that I'll be posting about once I taste them and verify their tastiness!

This week was a little crazy- classes are over, so my schedule was thrown out the window and now I've got a lot of loose ends to tie up, three exams next week and moving into my new apartment for the summer.

But my friend, Melanie, and I decided to skip town Tuesday afternoon and head to Charlotte! For REI and Ikea, of course! With a little Anthropologie and Sur la Table stirred in! I can't wait to share what I bought with y'all, but its all packed up in the car for moving this weekend!

But I am officially in love with Ikea. I foresee another visit this summer after my wallet recovers from this trip! (Just kidding... I spent a lot more in my head than for real, but I really can't wait to go back!)

I was *this* close to buying a canopy, but I decided against it. For this trip!

They have a new children's book about the vegetable patch! Broccoli and Carrot are the heroes!

Sigh... what a wonderful afternoon to get me through finals! Have a wonderful weekend- I'll be moving and helping a couple of friends move too!

Spring Love

How can you not love spring? Aside from the pollen... I love seeing the green and flowers blooming and just feeling like its a fresh start. Also, the cooler temperatures are definitely a plus before we hit the 90's for the summer. And today's grocery shopping day for me, so I'm super excited!

For now...

I am just excited about starting a new blog so I don't drive my friends and family crazy with all of my talk about crafty things I want to accomplish, things I want to bake, and places I want to go! I want to share it with everyone! So.. it is more of a creative outlet for me, but I will tell you more about me later!
